Pets and Animal Services
Pets are an important part of our community, and the Township of North Stormont is committed to promoting responsible pet ownership.
Please note that the Township does not issue dog licences (dog tags). However, we strongly encourage all pet owners to have their dogs microchipped and wear a collar with up-to-date identification tags. These simple steps greatly increase the chances of reuniting lost pets with their families.
Under the Township's **Animal Control By-law**, dogs must be leashed or properly contained at all times. This applies to all public and municipal properties, and any private property that is not securely fenced. Keeping your dog under control helps ensure the safety of your pet, your neighbours, and the community.
To learn more about responsible pet ownership, animal control, and municipal animal services, visit the Township's Animal Services webpage.
