North Stormont welcomes new Economic Development and Community Engagement Officer

BERWICK, Ontario - The Township of North Stormont is pleased to announce the appointment of Tara Kirkpatrick as the municipality’s new economic development and community engagement officer.

Kirkpatrick brings extensive experience in economic development, workforce initiatives, and community collaboration, along with a strong understanding of North Stormont and the surrounding region. She has been responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a broad range of economic development programs and projects, supporting both business growth and long‑term community prosperity.

Notably, Kirkpatrick has worked directly within North Stormont on several key initiatives, including collaboration on the Moose Creek Landfill pipeline expansion, as well as supporting the launch and growth of local businesses.

In previous roles, Kirkpatrick supported non‑profit organizations and businesses in securing grants, accessing funding programs, and implementing sustainable growth strategies. She has managed complex funding portfolios, sourced financing and workforce solutions, and worked closely with stakeholders to achieve long‑term success.

As economic development and community engagement officer, Kirkpatrick will work closely with council, staff, businesses, and community partners to advance economic development priorities, support workforce and business attraction efforts, and strengthen engagement across the township.
