NORTH STORMONT, ON – The Township of North Stormont is now accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters to join North Stormont Fire Services (NSFS). Applications are being accepted for Probationary Firefighter positions, with a deadline of 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14.
Volunteer firefighters play a vital role in protecting the community by responding to emergencies, participating in regular training, supporting fire prevention initiatives, and working together to keep North Stormont safe.
North Stormont Fire Services is a rural volunteer fire department comprised of approximately 80 volunteer firefighters serving more than 6,800 residents across 515 square kilometres. The department operates from four stations located throughout the Township:
- Finch Station – 11 John Street, Finch
- Crysler Station – 18 Second Street, Crysler
- Avonmore Station – 16307 County Road 43, Avonmore
- Moose Creek Station – 60 Sabourin Street, Moose Creek
No previous firefighting experience is required. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training and the opportunity to develop valuable skills while serving their community as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
Individuals who are community-minded, willing to learn, and ready to respond when needed are encouraged to apply.
