Township of North Stormont Launches Inaugural Breakfast Connections Event to Strengthen Local Business Community

NORTH STORMONT, ON – The Township of North Stormont, in partnership with the Cornwall & SDG Business Enterprise Centre, is pleased to announce the inaugural North Stormont Breakfast Connections, a new networking and business development event designed to bring together local business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community partners.

The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to build meaningful connections, exchange ideas, and learn from the experiences of fellow entrepreneurs and business support organizations. By creating a space for networking and collaboration, the Township aims to help strengthen the local business community and encourage continued economic growth throughout North Stormont.

Strong business networks play an important role in the success of local enterprises. Opportunities to share knowledge, discuss challenges, identify partnerships, and learn from the experiences of others can help businesses grow, innovate, and remain resilient. North Stormont Breakfast Connections has been developed to foster these relationships while highlighting the resources and expertise available to entrepreneurs at every stage of their business journey.

The event will begin with opening remarks from Mayor François Landry, who will welcome attendees and speak to the importance of supporting local businesses and cultivating a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within North Stormont.

Guests will also hear from a panel of speakers representing a range of business and economic development perspectives, including:

  • André Laflèche, entrepreneur and community builder, who will share lessons from his entrepreneurial journey and discuss the value of developing strong networks of mentors, peers, partners, and supporters.
  • Sara MacDonald, founder of Sunshine Studio Moose Creek, a dance, fitness, and wellness studio that opened in Moose Creek in June 2025. Sara will discuss her experience launching and growing a business in North Stormont.
  • Mireille Lemire, representing the Cornwall & SDG Business Enterprise Centre, who will highlight services and resources available to local entrepreneurs and small businesses.
  • Denis Lapierre, representing ACCFutures, who will provide insight into business development supports and financing opportunities available to entrepreneurs across the region.

The Township of North Stormont is excited to host this first-ever breakfast event and looks forward to establishing it as a regular opportunity for members of the local business community to connect, learn, and support one another.

Whether attendees are established business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals, or residents interested in the future of North Stormont's economy, Breakfast Connections offers an opportunity to engage with local leaders and contribute to the growth and success of the community's business sector.
