Roadside Brushing Activities commencing soon

October 14, 2026

The Township of North Stormont conducts roadside brushing operations annually, typically between early October and mid-December, weather and operational conditions permitting.

This work involves trimming trees and clearing brush along municipal roadways to improve visibility, reduce roadside hazards and support winter road maintenance.

Roadside brushing helps keep road signs visible, maintain clear sightlines around curves and intersections, remove potentially hazardous branches, and create additional space along roadsides for snow accumulation during the winter months.

Residents may encounter maintenance crews and equipment working along municipal roads during this period. Please exercise caution when approaching work areas, slow down as needed, follow posted signage and directions from workers, and allow equipment operators sufficient space to work safely.

The timing and location of operations may vary depending on weather, road conditions and operational priorities.

The Township thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as we work to maintain safe roads throughout North Stormont.
