The Township of North Stormont is advising residents that fall flushing of the municipal water distribution systems will take place in Crysler, Finch and Moose Creek between: Tuesday, October 6, 2026 and Friday, October 30, 2026.
The work will be conducted by the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA).
Who will be affected?
This work will only impact residents connected to the municipal water system networks in Crysler, Finch and Moose Creek. Residents outside these municipal water systems will not be affected.
What should residents expect?
Residents may notice temporary discolouration of their water during the flushing period and for a short time afterward.
If discolouration occurs, residents should run their cold water until it clears.
Please Drive With Caution
Residents and motorists may see Township Public Works and OCWA workers flushing hydrants and operating equipment throughout the villages.
Please slow down and use caution when approaching work areas, and give workers plenty of room to safely complete their work.
