Today is Saved by the Beep Day, and the Township of North Stormont is encouraging residents to take a few minutes to test their smoke alarms.

A working smoke alarm gives you and your family the early warning you need in the event of a fire.

🔔 Today, take a moment to:
✅ Press the test button on every smoke alarm
✅ Make sure you hear the alarm sound clearly
✅ Replace batteries if needed
✅ Replace alarms that are expired or not working properly
✅ Make testing your alarms a monthly habit
