🔥 **Burn Ban Update – July 9, 2026** 🔥💧
Effective **July 9, 2026**, there is **no burn ban currently in effect** within the Township of North Stormont.
The Township of North Stormont Fire Department will continue to monitor weather and environmental conditions closely. Should conditions change, updates will be provided to residents in a timely manner.
Additionally, the Township remains in **Stage 1 – Water Conservation / Normal Use** under the updated **Water Usage and Conservation By-Law No. 31-2026**. Residents connected to municipal water systems in Crysler, Finch, and Moose Creek are encouraged to continue following the regular seasonal outdoor watering schedule and practice responsible water use. For rules and regulations regarding open-air fires, please refer to **Open Air Burning By-Law No. 36-2026**, which establishes the requirements for conducting open-air fires within the Township.

✅ Property owners must obtain a permit from the Township before having an open-air fire.
✅ Recreational fires under 1 square metre do not require a permit; however, they must still comply with the setback requirements outlined in the by-law.
