BERWICK, Ontario - A new intake period for the next round of the North Stormont Community Improvement Plan (CIP) is open until June 30.

The popular funding program provides incentives to grow and expand businesses within North Stormont.

“The 2025 CIP is a cornerstone of economic development in North Stormont. It empowers local businesses, revitalizes underutilized spaces, and attracts investments that shape our township’s growth. This program is a testament to the incredible potential of our business community and the lasting benefits of investing locally," said Mayor Francois Landry.

The program is expected to make significant in-roads in 2025.

"I encourage all eligible businesses and organizations to apply for the 2025 CIP. Whether you're looking to launch a new project or expand an existing initiative, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on our community. Together, we can drive innovation, create jobs, and build a stronger future for SDG Counties," said Acting Economic Development Manager Karina Belanger.

All applicants are required to pre-consult with the Township of North Stormont prior to submitting an application.  Pre-consultation ensures that a proposed project is able to meet all the necessary program and eligibility requirements.

Once an applicant has pre-consulted with township staff, they may submit their application.  Applications will be reviewed by township staff to ensure that there is no missing information.  Applications that are missing information will be deemed incomplete, and the applicant will be notified of the deficiencies.
