CRYSLER, ON – August 21, 2026 – The Township of North Stormont celebrated the grand opening of a new commercial triplex at 2 Crysler George Street in downtown Crysler yesterday with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration that drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of residents, supporters, business owners, and community members.

The event provided an opportunity for the community to officially welcome G&E Construction, the owners and builders of the new commercial building, as well as the businesses that have established themselves in the development. Following the ribbon cutting, guests toured the new facilities, met the business owners, enjoyed refreshments and a barbecue, and took part in family-friendly entertainment, including live music and a face painter.

The strong turnout reflected the excitement surrounding continued investment and growth in downtown Crysler. The new commercial triplex is another significant investment in the community and a recognizable example of the population growth and development taking place throughout North Stormont.

The celebration also marked the official opening of Bridge Street Spa and Medicaid Pharmacy in their new locations.

For Medicaid Pharmacy, the move represents a significant expansion. Now operating from its new, larger location, the pharmacy is able to offer additional services to the community, including flu shots, compounding services, and a walk-in virtual clinic, where patients can speak with doctors and specialists through telemedicine.

The pharmacy's former location at 33 Queen Street in Crysler is now available for rent. The Township encourages anyone interested in opening a business or expanding an existing business in Crysler to contact Chenhai, owner of The Side Door Restaurant, for information about the available commercial space.

The new commercial triplex at 2 Crysler George Street also has one unit remaining available for rent. Interested businesses or prospective tenants can contact G&E Construction, the owners of the building, for more information.

"We are incredibly excited to see continued investment and growth in our downtown communities," said Mayor François Landry. "Yesterday's celebration was a wonderful demonstration of the excitement and pride that residents have for Crysler and for the businesses investing in our community. The opening of this new commercial development, the launch of Bridge Street Spa, and the expansion of Medicaid Pharmacy into its new Crysler location are all positive additions that will benefit residents and help strengthen our local economy. We are proud to celebrate this investment and look forward to seeing these businesses become an important part of the Crysler community."

The Township of North Stormont extends its congratulations to G&E Construction, Bridge Street Spa, and Medicaid Pharmacy and thanks them for their investment in Crysler.

The Township also extends its appreciation to the many residents, supporters, families, and community members who came out to celebrate the grand opening and welcome the new businesses. The large turnout was a clear indication of the community's enthusiasm for new investment, services, and opportunities in Crysler.

Next Grand Opening: Boxer Automotive

The Township's celebration of new businesses continues next week with the grand opening of Boxer Automotive, located at 14974 County Road 43 in Finch.

The celebration will take place on Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Township invites residents, businesses, and community members to join us in officially welcoming this new business to North Stormont.

Recently opened by Brandon McMillan, Boxer Automotive has taken over the former automotive paint shop at the location and is now offering automotive repair services to residents and customers throughout the area.

The Township encourages the community to come out, meet Brandon, check out the new business, and show their support for another local entrepreneur investing in North Stormont. Brandon will be hosting a free BBQ lunch, family games with prizes and inflatable games for children.

With continued population growth creating opportunities for new businesses and services, developments such as these demonstrate the positive momentum taking place throughout North Stormont.
