The Township of North Stormont and the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) wish to advise users of Moose Creek’s Drinking Water System that maintenance is being performed on the elevated water storage tank beginning on September 1, 2021 with an anticipated completion date of October 4, 2021.
The water tower will be drained for the maintenance work to be carried out. For the duration of the project, the village’s water distribution system will be fed directly by high lift pumps at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP). While every attempt will be made to stabilize system pressures, there may be occurrences of both high and low system pressure throughout the village. Should you experience significantly low (or high) water pressure, please contact the Ontario Clean Water Agency at 1-800-342-6442.
If any situations of no water pressure occur, please assume a precautionary Boil Water Advisory to be in place once water service has been restored, unless or until we have notified otherwise.
During this period water users must refrain from drawing large quantities of water from the distribution system.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact OCWA or examine the Water Usage By-Law No. 64-2021 (PDF) for clarification.
