Emergency preparedness is a shared responsibility, and it is up to each and every one of us to learn what to do before, during, and after an emergency situation. The Township of North Stormont Emergency Management Committee continues working to fulfill the Emergency Management Ontario requirements. Emergency Preparedness Week is May 2 to 8, 2010. We encourage you to visit and click on "Be Prepared" for more information.
The Federal Emergency Preparedness Week website also serves as a resource for self-help and other information sources. Check it out at , or visit the Township Office for information brochures.

Getting Emergency Information Out To You
Telephone information boards continue to be issued along with building permits to owners of newly-constructed homes and businesses. The telephone information board lists important emergency information, including Emergency Telephone Numbers and an Emergency Survival Kit Checklist. The board also contains a sticker with your civic address for 911 purposes. Please be sure to make note of your proper civic address to better ensure a timely response in case of an emergency. Keep the board near your telephone for easy reference. If you haven't received one, please contact the Township Office. Thank you to the following sponsors for their very generous support in getting this important emergency preparedness information out to all Township of North Stormont residents:
A.L. Blair Construction, Monkland Mini Mart, Ted Moran & Sons, Shane Signs, & TRP Ready Mix
