The 10th REGULAR session of 2009 of the Council of the Township of North Stormont was held on the above date, in the Council Chamber, Berwick at 6:30 p.m.

WHEREEAS Township property located at 16334 Fairview Dr., Avonmore, was declared surplus to the needs of the Municipality by Resolution No. 214 May 2008;
NOW THEREFORE Council establishes the method of disposal of this property as follow:
- by auction, and
- permitted uses will be restricted to Residential or General Commercial, excluding automobile service station. CARRIED.

Catherine MacLean, a neighbour was present and spoke in favour of the minor variance.
Vincent Hanniman, another neighbour, submitted a letter of objection.
Mr. and Mrs. Metzger were present and answered questions.

- Payment of $150.00 administration fee to the township.
- Road widening as required on the severed and retained portion.
- Approval of a zoning by-law amendment to prohibit any residential dwelling unit on the retained parcel as required by the Provincial Policy Statement.
- Demolish and clean up remaining barn.
- Demolish silo or a building location survey is required showing the distance from proposed property lines to silo. CARRIED.

WHEREAS $498,000 in funding is available until March 15, 2011, through the Raisin-South Nation Source Protection Region under the Ontario Drinking Water Stewardship Program - Early Actions to protect municipal drinking water;
AND WHEREAS this is currently available to landowners in a 200 metres radius of municipal surface water intakes (126 land parcels) or 100 metres of municipal well-heads (127 land parcels);
AND WHEREAS MOE requires relosutions of Council to expand this area to the draft 2-year Time of Travel for municipal well-heads which would increase the number of eligible landowners to approximately 500 across the Region;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Township of North Stormont hereby adopts the draft 2-year Time to Travel Zone around the Crysler, Finch and Moose Creek wellheads that were delineated through the municipal Groundwater Studies (2004) by Robinson Consultants Inc. for purposes of the Ontario Drinking Water Stewardship Program - Early Actions. CARRIED.
