RE: Dog Tag Registration

In accordance with By-Law 31-06, all dogs within the Township of North Stormont must be licenced each year.

Dog tag registrations fees are as follows:
(a) For each dog six months of age or older, which is sterilized. $15.00
(b) For each dog six months of age or older, which is not sterilized. $20.00
(c) For each service dog. No fee.
(d) For each replacement of a lost identification tag. $2.00
(e) Kennel Licence - Pure bred dogs registered or registrable. $80.00
(f) Lodging Kennel Licence - anyone operating a kennel for lodging of dogs other than their own. $150.00

For your convenience you will find a 2009 Dog Tag Registration Form for your pet(s) with your property tax. Ensure that all sections of the form are completed within 30 days of receipt of this notice. For your convenience, you may choose from one of the following options to purchase your dog tag(s):

• by mail - with cheque, payable to the Township of North Stormont (please note if you send your application and payment via mail, include with your remittance a self-addressed stamped envelope, and we will gladly mail your tag directly to you)
• in person - cash, cheque or Interac at the municipal office 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Failure to obtain a dog licence for your dog(s) could result in the licence fee and late fees being added to your final tax instalment and/or a fine imposed. If this application has been sent to you in error, and you no longer have a dog, and/or you require any additional information regarding dog tags and licensing, please contact the Municipal Office.
